Dr Richard Winchester was appointed teacher of chemistry at Kings College School in 2013. Richard learnt to row with his college boat club at Durham University during his time as a chemistry undergraduate. After 3 very successful years of college rowing he made the step up to the university squad and earned his palatinate in his fourth year. He then moved to London to study towards a PhD at Imperial College and had 3 successful years of rowing with Imperial College Boat Club competing in the IC senior men’s first VIII at both domestic and international competition, including the Head of the River Race and Henley Royal Regatta. Richard finds himself back in the boat once again this season competing with Sport Imperial.
