Daniel is the longest serving member of the KCS coaching team having started in 2007. Over the years he has been heavily involved in coaching every year group. This year he has increased his role at King’s to Head of Strength & Conditioning (involved with all the main KCS sports) and Senior Rowing Coach (J16 lead coach). Coaching accolades include National School medals at J15 1st eights (2009 & 2010) and J16 1st eights (2011). In 2003 Daniel was a part of a Team GB funded talent identification program and selected to join World Class Start. As a member of Molesey Boat Club he was coached by former Olympian Sue Mc Nuff. In 2005 (after just two years of rowing), Daniel was selected to represent GB at the Coupe de le Jeunnese in the JM VIII, winning gold on both days. 2006 saw success for him in the National Schools Head of River and National Schools Regatta in the championship IV+’s. In 2009 he won the highly sought after The Thames Challenge Cup (Club men’s 8s) at the prestigious Henley Royal Regatta. Daniel has always had an interest in sport which led him to undertake a degree in Strength and Conditioning Science, he graduated from St. Mary’s University in June 2012. During his time at St Marys Daniel became an Accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach (UKSCA) and completed Internships at English Institute of Sport (E.I.S.) and London Welsh Rugby Club. As well as his work at King’s Daniel is currently a strength & conditioning coach for TASS (Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme) at St. Mary’s University.
