How the Supporters Association has helped the rowers at Kings
In 2009/ 2010 we paid just over £300 to create the supporters website. We also built up a reserve of £8,000 that has been earmarked for purchases in the coming year. Due to a substantial donation during the year the 1st Eight were able to race in the newly acquired ‘Pat Reed Boswell’.
In 2008/09 we paid £1,981 for a new marquee and contributed £4,400 towards the J15 boat “Bad Boy”. Also, we paid £202 to cover half the cost of replacing the boathouse cooker.
In 2007/08 we paid £4,495 for five rowing machines that enable our rowers to train side by side on comparable machines.
In 2006/07 we spent £950 on a set of blades, £5,221 on a Janousek pair and £1,001 on rigging.
In 2005/06 we spent £5,336 but we haven’t yet dug out the records.
